Delfina De Lillo was born in Rome and got her degree in Illustration and Multimedia Animation at Istituto Europeo di Design in 2011. Following her parents footsteps (father painter and mother stylist), she first fell in love with pencils at only 4, when she started to draw on the background of her father’s paintings…
She has always been in love with art in its many forms, such as dance, writing and of course painting. From 2008 till 2011 at IED she learns different techniques and materials: engraving, acrylic, water colors, and various kinds of graphic softwares.
After her degree, she moves to Berlin where she collaborates to different collective exhibitions and comic festivals, and tightens a strong creative friendship with Stefano Minzi, an artist with whom she participates to different contests.
Her creative world is a continuous flux from the unconscious where reality and fantasy merge into a somehow lysergic rappresentation. She never cared about giving a clean shape to her production, but rather to be faithful to her primary vital instinct, which for her finds its way trough free expression of her art.
She also really enjoys the commissioned works where she can on one side satisfy the clients and on the other side bring them to the boundary of their original idea, unveiling their curiosity trough a myriad of little and joyful ideas.
